Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and baba learn for using our app and this website. By using baba learn, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. "We," "us," and "our" mean the team behind baba learn. "You" means the person using the service.

The service

baba learn is an app for learning real, modern Hebrew. The letters course is free and will stay free. Some lessons and features are part of a paid subscription. We are still building baba learn, so features may be added, changed, or removed as the app grows.

Who can use baba learn

You must be at least 13 years old to use baba learn. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are old enough to agree to a subscription only with a parent's permission where you live, you confirm you have it.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account details safe and for activity that happens under your account. If you think someone else has gained access to it, tell us at support@itsbaba.com.

Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Here is how it works, in plain terms:

• Where you pay: subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we use RevenueCat to manage them. Your payment goes to the store, not directly to us, and the store's terms also apply to the purchase.
• Automatic renewal: a subscription renews on its own for the same period (for example month to month, or year to year) and your store account is charged at each renewal, until you cancel. Under the standard store rules, renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• How to cancel: you cancel in the account settings of the store you bought from (Apple App Store or Google Play), not inside baba learn. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and it does not renew after that. We cannot cancel a store subscription for you, because the store controls the billing.
• Free trials: if we offer a free trial and you do not cancel before it ends, it turns into a paid subscription at the regular price. You can cancel during the trial in your store account to avoid being charged.
• Refunds: because the stores handle payment, refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies. Ask the store you purchased from. We are glad to help where we can, but we cannot issue store refunds directly.
• Price changes: if we change subscription pricing, the new price applies to future renewals, and you will be given notice and the chance to cancel before it takes effect, as the stores require.

Using baba learn fairly

When you use baba learn, please agree not to:

• copy, resell, or redistribute the lessons, audio, or other content,
• try to break, overload, or reverse engineer the app or our servers,
• use the service to break the law or to harm other people,
• share your paid access in a way the subscription is not meant for.

Our content

The lessons, text, audio, artwork, mascots (including Duki), and software in baba learn belong to us or to our licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non transferable permission to use them for your own learning. That permission ends if you stop using the service or break these terms.

What we promise, and what we do not

We work hard to make baba learn accurate and genuinely useful, and we teach Hebrew the way people actually speak it. That said, baba learn is an educational tool, not a guarantee. We cannot promise that you will reach a specific level of fluency, or that the app will always be available and free of every error. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, baba learn is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Ending your use

You can stop using baba learn at any time, and you can cancel a subscription through your store account as described above. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we need to for legal or security reasons. If we end your access, we will act reasonably about any time left on a paid subscription.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as baba learn changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top and, for meaningful changes, give you notice. If you keep using baba learn after a change, you accept the updated terms.
